Cuningham delights in bringing clients’ visions to reality through the design process. Notable projects in 2021 include designing an overall master plan for the Spokane Tribe in Airway Heights, Washington, as well as expanding the existing Spokane Casino, currently under construction.

Cuningham is also working on the renovation and 24,000-square-foot expansion of the Tachi Palace Casino Resort in Lemoore, California to modernize features, including the conversion of the buffet into an expanded food market and a high-limit room. When complete, Tachi Palace will feature a more open plan and a symmetrical space with a sense of entry. It will include an expansive sports bar with indoor and outdoor dining and feature improvements necessitated by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Another exciting project is in Funner, California, at the Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians’ Harrah’s Southern California Resort. There, Cuningham is replacing the existing buffet with the largest version of multi-Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay’s concept restaurant, Hell’s Kitchen. Construction began this fall, with the restaurant planned to open in 2022.

Cuningham’s portfolio represents a full array of casinos, hotels, event centers, convention facilities, restaurants, retail venues, spas, parking structures and support facilities that span gaming, entertainment, and leisure destinations. Clients include tribes throughout the nation and notable gaming and entertainment industry leaders, including MGM Resorts International, the Las Vegas Sands Corp., Caesars Entertainment, Universal Studios, and Walt Disney Imagineering. Cuningham approaches each project with a cross-market approach that leads to innovative, large-scale, multi-faceted gaming and hospitality environments that engage, energize, and earn.
